There should be a time gap between when you work and when you sleep. Otherwise, you may find yourself tossing and turning because you’re thinking about the email you just sent instead of focusing on peaceful thoughts that put your mind at ease.

Achieving a healthy work-life balance is something all professionals struggle with at some point in their career. It is especially challenging for parents who know that time spent working is time they could otherwise be spending with their children. To start, it helps to physically schedule time in your day for the activities you enjoy. Family events, hobbies and sports give you much-needed time away from the office to recharge.

There’s no shame in admitting that you are stressed. A support system is essential for maintaining a positive mind space, whether it be comprised of friends, family, others in your industry, or a combination. Additionally, you may find that support for your business will take a weight off your chest. Delegating tasks can allow for your work to get done without taking all your time and energy.
