If you are causing your employees to feel uncomfortable and somehow fearful in the workplace, there is certainly something you are doing wrong. Imposing fear among employees is a strategy used by bad bosses. Ineffective leaders opt to pit employees against one another, use rewards, and even threat firing people as ways to boost productivity. These methods might work in the short term, but are more likely to cause employees to lose loyalty to their employer and the organization itself.

Give your employees room for growth.

Another way to keep employees inspired is offer the opportunities for training and professional growth. As a leader, you need to acknowledge the fact that there should be no end to learning. Thus, no matter what role an employee has in the organization, he or she still deserves to be given an opportunity to develop and bet better. Allow your people to be trained by experts, and provide them with the necessary tools and resources that they can use for their development.

Get everyone involved in brainstorming.

When there is a project that has to be completed, make sure that you ask your employees for their ideas or thoughts about it. Keep in mind that there is always something you can learn from everybody, no matter what their roles are in the company. By allowing them to share their thoughts, you are also boosting their confidence, and you are giving them enough reasons to work harder and better.

Foster optimism.

Nothing can be more contagious than a warm smile. By spreading positivity at work, you can make the workplace happier and lighter, and you can also inspire your employees. With a positive and friendly work environment, your employees will surely be more productive and efficient in their jobs.

Always show gratitude.

We all love the feeling of being appreciated and recognized. A good leader never forgets to give credit where it is due. A simple pat on the back for a job well done can make a huge difference in the way your employees look at their work and the workplace.
